Volunteer at the World Champs Hamburg 2019

If this sounds like the perfect mix for you, apply NOW to become part of the Beach Volleyball World Championships Hamburg 2019 presented by comdirect & ALDI Nord volunteer team!

Between June 28 and July 7 this summer, Hamburg will host this year’s most important tournament in beach volleyball, the Beach Volleyball World Championships. Thousands of fans will visit the Hanseatic city of Hamburg and celebrate a unique beach volleyball party.

As a volunteer, you’ll get exclusive insight into one of the biggest sporting events of the year. It’s an amazing networking opportunity to get in touch with the beach volleyball community and, of course, make lots of new friends.

How can I apply?

The application process couldn’t be easier. To register, all you need to do is fill out our application form, which you can find here. Please ensure you enter your correct email address because all information about the registration process and further steps will be sent to you by email. The deadline for the online application process is June 17. In the second application round, we’ll invite you to a Skype interview - at this point, you will receive further information about your volunteer experience.

What work can I do?

As the Beach Volleyball World Championships is a top tier beach volleyball event, a number of different departments are in need of your help. We split this into the following working areas:

• Sport:  The sports department offers different positions such as: preparing the official players’ jerseys and tops with numbers, names and country codes; taking care of players’ requests and ensuring the workflow on the courts.
• Organization team: As part of the organization team, you will be a point of contact for requests from players, crew and suppliers. You will help with the accreditation system, beverage service, crew outfits and support us at the Merchandise Store
• Entertainment: You are always motivated and love to entertain other people? Then our entertainment department is your place to be. By supporting our entertainment team directly at the Center Court, or helping the DJ at the DJ-Tower, you are always right in the centre of the action.
• Social Media: If Instagram stories, Twitter and Facebook’s your thing, then why not apply to help out our Social Media team? If you have the humour and creativity to post when it matters most, we want to hear from you. You’ll also get the chance to interview players and fans, so if you’re interested in a future role in media then this could be an amazing possibility for you.
• Runner: Just like at any big, international sporting event, the need for helping hands is vitally important. We’re looking for runners who can turn their hand at anything at the drop of a hat. So if you’re a quick thinker and able to use your initiative, please don’t hesitate and apply to be one of our runners.
• VIP: Help our VIP Team take care of our special guests, or help at the entry to the VIP area.

What do I get in return?

Apart from the experience of working at a high-class international sporting tournament and having a great time, an official outfit and your meals during your working hours will be provided. We are also planning some special surprises and treats during the tournament. Further information about other benefits, will be discussed during your Skype interviews.
