The favorites to win the world champs

27.06.2019 - Hamburg

Anders Mol and Christian Sørum and Sarah Pavan and Melissa Humana-Paredes have been installed as the favorites to lift the World Championship title by partners bet-at-home.com.

The bookmaker believes the Beachvolley Vikings are the clear pick of the men to take gold on July 7 and have quoted them at 2.70 to take the title. Second favorites are 2013 champions Alex Brouwer and Robert Meeuwsen (8.50) followed by Poles Grzegorz Fijalek and Michal Bryl (9.00).

Much-fancied Russians Oleg Stoyanovskiy and Viacheslav Krasilnikov are 10.00 to become victorious, while reigning champion Evandro Gonçalves and 2015 champion Bruno Oscar Schmidt are 11.00. Home heroes Clemens Wickler and Julius Thole are 26.00 to deliver a stunning victory to the Red Bull Beach Arena.

On the women’s side, Humana-Paredes Pavan are 5.50 favorites to take gold, followed by in-form Brazilians Ana Patricia and Rebecca Cavalcanti with a 6.00 quote. Fellow Brazilians, Agatha Bednarczuk and Duda Lisboa, who won the World Tour Finals here 12 months ago, are third favorites at 8.00.

Three-time champion Kerri Walsh Jennings and teammate Brooke Sweat can be backed at 10.00, while reigning champion and home-town hero Laura Ludwig and partner Maggie Kozuch are a massive to ensure the golden trophy stays in Germany for two more years.
